Kamilah Moore was born and raised in the Los Angeles, CA area. She has just completed her undergraduate studies at UCLA, where she studied Political Science, Education and Film, Television & Digital Media. She has been a leader and an organizer on a variety of issues ranging from student debt to the school to prison pipeline. As chair of the Afrikan Student Union, Kamilah was instrumental in the passing of a student government resolution at UCLA calling for divestment from the prison industry, and continues to lead and inspire others in the fight for racial and economic justice.
